Cascade Pass and Sahale Arm — Washington Trails Association (wta.org)
Easily one of the
prettiest hikes in Washington State. The parking lot itself has great views,
and after hiking up about 2,000 feet through a forest, you reach Cascade Pass
with great views of a valley and the mountains around you.
As you continue
hiking up through meadows, the views only get more beautiful, with Cascade Peak
and the Triplets in the background, and Doubtful Lake coming into view. A
brutal climb up to Sahale camp takes you to the foot of Sahale glacier, where
you can dip your feet in glacier melt and hopefully spot mountain goats.
